Lakshmi Narasimhapura Agrahaaram, Saayapuram

The village of Lakshmi Narasimhapura Agrahaaram traces its origins back to 1585 AD, when it was constructed by the Emperor of Kondapalli. This historical site is home to significant temples, including the revered Sri Swayambhu Kalyana Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, known for its divine presence. The sthala vruksha, or sacred tree, is the Bilwa vruksha. Alongside the main temple, there are other notable shrines dedicated to Shiva and Hanuman. One of the village’s important landmarks is the lotus flowered pond situated in front of the temple, which served as the primary water source for the community. Additionally, the Garuda (chayana) peetham/seela, where chayanam rituals were performed, holds historical and religious significance. A popular belief among devotees is that performing 108 pradakshina (circumambulations) around the temple for 41 continuous days can alleviate troubles and bring blessings.
